John Mark Lingan

Durians pitcher John Mark Lingan unleashed his fast ball to stop the UM batters for taking a home during their tune up game yesterday February 5, 2008 at UM Matina.

The Durians batter were eyeing for a double score as two players hit the second and third bases and luck never eluded them as team mate Renje Olivo sent the ball to the backfield thus giving them a 2-0 lead.

The Veterans - UM College team - tried to overcome the shame caused by their juniors as they intensified their defense giving more pressure to the high school batters. But, lady luck seemed to favor the younger ones as the game progressed.

UM first baser baffled in receiving a pass from the catcher allowing the Durians from the third base to take the home at the end of five inning match.

The Durians left the field with their smiles taking a 3-0 win over their former team mates in DAVRAA and Palarong Pambansa.

The game was part of the training for the Durian Baseball team in their quest to bring the gold once again for Team Davao in the coming DAVRAA in Mati City, Davao Oriental.

On the other hand, Mr. Willie Bayocboc, baseball veteran coach has already produced great baseball players for DAVRAA and Palorong Pambansa and even in our Philippine Team.
