Will the host delegation, Davao Oriental Sunrisers raise their banner as they aim to do in this year’s DAVRAA Meet?

Or will Davao City Durians concede to this threat?

Well, that remains to be seen as the DAVRAA sports competition starts tomorrow, February 11 in Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Mati has put high hopes in defeating the six-time champion Davao City in this sports activity. Rumors have even spread that Mati has pirated coaches from other cities and even tapped the expertise of some sports genius from Manila. It was also heard that not only were their athletes prepared physically but they also underwent some sports clinic and sport psychology to further their strength.

In a media presscon when Hon. Mayor Michelle Rabat was asked by this issue, she humbly said that the Mati delegation is small compared to Davao City and even other delegations such as COMVAL, Davao Del Norte and Davao Del Sur.

” We only rely on a limited material that we have. But definitely we are counting to grab a gold in boxing event,” Rabat said.

The Durians on the other hand remain steadfast and still aim to retain their title as the strongest team in this part of the country.

Whether the Durians proves it this year or the DavOr Sunrisers take advantage of their home? This still remains to be untold.
